About Us
Acumentia was founded 1994 and is a network of independent experts who collaborate to give tailored consultancy solutions with a focus on food and beverage science and technology. The association comprises widely respected professionals who have held senior positions in their respective industries and understand the issues and challenges of modern business. Acumentia as a whole offers commercial acumen, multidisciplined teams, focused creative thinking and brainstorming. The team provides insights in trends and innovation to fast-track new product development. We have short lines of communication and apply our extensive knowhow to speedy and effective problem solving to provide cost effective solutions across international markets and cultures.
The association is governed by a Chair and Management Committee, and positions are elected/confirmed annually by the association members. Committee members serve without remuneration. Consultants are expected to adhere to a good code of conduct and best consultancy practices as exemplified by the UK Institute of Consulting (Link).

Acumentia is not an employer of consultants nor an agency supplying consultants. Acumentia is a member organisation providing a platform where independent consultants can cooperate, network and promote their individual business expertise. Agreements are made between individual consultants and clients directly. Acumentia is not a Party to those agreements. Any dispute between a consultant and their client is the sole responsibility of the Parties who are signatories to those agreements or contracts. Acumentia and its Members can accept no liability whatsoever for issues arising from contracts or agreements entered into between any other Member or group of Member consultants and a client which they are not a Party to. For the avoidance of doubt, Members may operate as a sole trader or provide services as a registered Limited Company.
